Happy Halloween fellow Ponderer!
As I’ve mentioned before in some of my other posts, I have never really celebrated Halloween. This year I decided to go to Glow in the Garden at the Van Dusen Garden. I thought it was a cute concept, where you follow a trail of breadcrumbs (lights), just like in the story of Hansel and Gretel. Hansel and Gretel has to be one of my favourite children’s stories, and so there was a little nostalgia to the idea of walking in their trail. Let me know if you too loved the Hansel and Gretel story as a child.
The Pumpkins at Glow In The Garden were carved by a local sculptor – Bruce Waugh. I will share with you a few pictures that I took of his work. The pumpkins were really cool to look at. They all had different facial expressions.
Overall I thought that the Van Dusen Glow In The Garden 2018 was quite nice, especially for young children. They seemed most excited about the Hansel and Gretel aspects of the pathway. I think one of the highlights of the path was the witches candy house. I saw kids getting extremely excited when hearing the “witches voice.”
Let me know what you did for Halloween. Hit the “like” button below if you liked this post and would like to see more of what I get up to.
Untill next time, your fellow Ponderer! xx
